A 208-bed, community, not-for-profit general acute care hospital, South Coast Medical Center provides patient care services ranging from critical care, same-day surgery, maternity services, sub-acute care and 24-hour emergency services to chemical dependency, psychiatric service, eating disorder treatment, radiation oncology and extensive rehabilitation services. The University of California, Irvine (UCI) Medical Center is the only university hospital in Orange County, offering a full scope of acute- and general-care services, with more than 300 specialty physicians and 50 primary care doctors.
